JENNIFER DREW

Jennifer

Jennifer Drew is a native of central Illinois. Over the last decade, Ms. Drew has appeared on stage and in administrative and education positions with theatres and academic institutions around the country. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Business from Millikin University, and then went on to study at Western Illinois University, obtaining her M.F.A. in Acting. During her three years at WIU, she was an Instructor in the theatre department, received multiple recognitions for her work on the stage, and was also an actor in the university’s professional educational tour.

Upon Graduation, Ms. Drew worked with the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, creating and reviving their Teen Theatre program; with the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, working as an assistant in their education department, teaching courses at OST as well as in schools around central Florida; and with the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Youth tour, teaching and performing for schools in upstate New York. She has served in various educational capacities including teaching at Grand Valley State University, creating workshops on special topics, teaching private acting, voice, movement and instrumental lessons and coachings, choreography, direction, and creating adaptations of scripts for youth performance.

Ms. Drew is an accomplished actor and musician as well. She has served as Violist and Violinist with multiple professional symphony orchestras and string ensembles. A member of Actor’s Equity Association, she has performed on stage with the Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Tennessee Shakespeare Company, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Brown County Playhouse, and Ozark Actors Theatre in roles such as Rosalind (As You Like It), Maria (Sound of Music), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls), Lady Percy (Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2), and Vi Petty (Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story).

Ms. Drew began her relationship with Surflight Theatre in 2010 as a performer and musician in The Surflight Holiday Spectacular. She continued on to serve as musical director for the 2011 Children’s Theatre season, coordinating the Intern Cabaret, as well as playing keyboard for Rent and Grease in 2011.

PETER KANE

Peter

Peter Kane is honored and thrilled to be part of this immensely talented cast!  He is a graduate of the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy where he studied voice. Favorite roles include Cliff (Cabaret), Jekyll & Hyde (Jekyll & Hyde), Anselmo (Man of La Mancha), Snail (Frog & Toad). Aside from being an actor and singer Peter is also a trained dancer and choreographer choosing to focus his energy on contemporary dance. He would like thank God for blessing him with these gifts, the cast for their hard work, and the creative team at Surflight for this amazing opportunity.

KEVIN RAY JOHNSON

Kevin is so excited to be performing and touring with Surflight to Go! Tour Credits: The National Tour of Blues Journey (Kennedy Center TYA on Tour) and The Regional Tour of The RecyclaBulls: BreakoBull’s Burp (The Winnipesaukee Playhouse, NH), Regional: Guys and Dolls (Sky KevinMasterson; The Carlisle Theatre, PA), Guys and Dolls (Big Jule; Interlakes Theatre, NH), Les Miserables & West Side Story (Joly & Pepe Respectively; The Barn Theatre, MI), Seussical (The Cat in the Hat & Horton the Elephant) and A Year with Frog and Toad (Toad). Kevin is also an accomplished Playwright. In early 2011 Broadwayworld.com mentioned Kevin as “One of this country’s finest playwrights”. His play The Unpredictable Times has been performed several times in New York at The Directors Studio and the Manhattan Repertory Theatre (and will be performing a Reading in NYC in early 2012) as well as been featured on Playbill.com twice. CHELSEA A. KREINES

Chelsea A Kreines hails from Wyncote, PA and is thrilled to be a part of Surflight-To-Go! Favorite theatrical roles include Sheila (A Chorus Line), Snoopy (You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown), and Esther Smith (Meet Me In St Louis). She can also be seen in the role of "Clair" in the popular new webseries "Harvey Schnitzel, Time Traveler" (www.HarveySchnitzel.com). In her small amount of free time, Chelsea enjoys costuming, debunking homeschool stereotypes, talking to the dog, and occasionally falling down the back stairs. SARAH JOY MAKUS

Sarah is so excited to be part of the amazing cast of Surflight To Go! Though a native Oregonian, she has spent a lot of time on the road with various Musical Theatre and Dance companies. Last Seen as Millie Dillmount In Thoroughly Modern Millie in Salt Lake City,Utah, Some of her other past favorite shows include: The Wizard Of Oz, The Pajama Game, Cinderella,Urinetown, Kiss me, Kate and Dear Diary. When not enjoying life on the stage, Sarah enjoys ice cream and sprinkles and goofy times with friends. She would like to thank her Parents for their support and love, her sister for always believing in her, her kitty, Jasmine for the cuddles, her incredible cast mates and The Lord for this exciting opportunity and His many Blessings!

CAROLYN RUGGIERO

Carolyn Ruggiero is thrilled to be making her debut at Surflight Theatre.  As a native New Yorker, Carolyn's past credits include: (Agnes) Agnes of God, (Princess Terrycloth) The Emperors New Clothes, (Klaus) The Sorcerer's Apprentice, (Mimsey Hubley) Plaza Suite, (Claire)Proof, (Kitty) Bedtime, (Jill) Dancing in the Afternoon, (Jan) Grease, (Wendy Jo) Footloose, Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, among many others.  Carolyn has a BA in Communication Arts, concentrations in Acting and Theatre Production Design.  Carolyn has worked with professional actors in Italy, studying Commedia De'll Arte Theatre Performance.  Carolyn is a lover of the beach and has an enormous collection of scarfs.  Carolyn is thrilled to share the stage with her amazingly talented and genuinely warm hearted cast mates and can't wait to see what the next 7 months of touring bring her way!
