Surflight Theatre is a non-profit organization that depends on you
for continued support. Volunteers provide a tremendous helping
hand in our day to day activities, and are always
welcome!
The volunteer opportunities that Surflight Theatre
offers include:
- Ticket takers/ushers for performances.
- Concessions
stand workers.
- Envelope
stuffing/labeling for large mailings.
- Stitchers
for our costume shop (Can elect to work either at home or onsite).
- Scene
shop workers for changeover days (When closing one show on Sunday
night and opening the next on Tuesday or Wednesday, extra help is
needed in tearing down the old scenery and installing the new).
These volunteers need to be handy with tools.
- Setting up/serving/cleaning up for annual Opening
Gala dessert parties.
- Providing/serving
food for the weekly dinners during Children’s Theatre season
when a new show opens each Wednesday (Cast/crew rehearse each
Children’s Theatre show all in one day and then perform it at
6:00 p.m. Volunteers provide a meal for them prior to the 6:00
opening performance of each show).
- Assisting
with fundraising events (Chinese Auction, yard sale, etc.).
- Annual Cast Party (providing food and clean up
for a party held in mid-August for the entire company of cast and
crew).
