Banking at Commerce = $ for Surflight

 

COMMERCE BANK'S Affinity Banking Program provides an opportunity for Commerce Bank account holders to help Surflight Theatre in our fundraising efforts.  If you currently have an account with Commerce Bank, or if you open an account, you can designate Surflight Theatre as the nonprofit organization you wish to support through this program

 

How does the Affinity Banking Program Work?

Account Holders can contact Surflight Theatre’s Development Officer, Sandy Goldsborough, or Commerce’s Beach Haven branch to request an Affinity Banking Program account designation form. Or, you can download the form (in Microsoft Word format) by clicking here.  The form is also available in our box office.  We have made registration easy by completing some of the required information for you.

 Upon completing the form, return it to the Commerce Bank branch on Long Beach Island. The address is provided at the top of the form.

 At the end of the year, Commerce Bank makes a donation to Surflight Theatre based on a percentage of the average balance in our members’ Affinity Banking Program accounts. 

 

Are the donated funds from account holders’ accounts?

No. The donated funds come from Commerce Bank and not from your accounts.  It does not cost you or Surflight anything to participate.

 

Which accounts are eligible for the program?

The following types of deposit accounts are included:

  • Checking Accounts
  • Savings Accounts
  • Money Market Accounts
  • Certificates of Deposit
  • Retirement Accounts

 

Is the account information kept confidential?

Your account information is kept strictly confidential – between the account holders and Commerce Bank.  Surflight is not informed of which account holders have registered their accounts or the value of accounts.  We just receive a contribution at the end of the year.
