Tymothy is a native of New Jersey. He is a former student of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Presently, he is completing his degree in dance at the New York University - Tisch School of the Arts. He is a dancer for the Brooklyn based Dance Company Souloworks by choreographer Andrea E. Woods and has appeared in the Off-Broadway disco musical The Donkey Show. He is very honored to be working with the Surflight Theatre family. Tymothy wishes to thank his family and friends for their ongoing support and the divine creative artist, Jehovah, for the gift of music and dance.
Mike joins our company from his hometown of Jamestown, NY. He is a graduate from SUNY Fredonia, where he earned his BFA in Musical Theatre and minored in Dance. Mike most recently performed in the national tour of Crazy for You, and has spent past summers at the Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals in Galveston, TX, the Papermill Theatre in Lincoln, NH, and Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH. Mike is extremely thankful for his incredible family and for their constant support. All praise and glory to my Lord and Savior for His continuous blessings!
Cari is a senior musical theatre major at Susquehanna University in PA, but really hails from Maywood, NJ. She is a student of the Stanislavski System, Link Latter Vocal Methodology, and Alexander Methods of acting and has studied with some greats in the singing and dancing world. Cari's recent collegiate credits include Chicago (Roxie Hart), Children of Eden (Eve/Mama Noah), and The Lark (The Inquisitor), just to name a few. In community summer stock, she's done Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney) and The Music Man (Marian). Following her collegiate career, she hopes to receive her MFA in musical theatre and continue on a performance route.
Elizabeth is extremely excited for her first season with Surflight Theatre! She is currently a musical theatre major at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and will graduate in May 2004. She hails from Point Pleasant, NJ. Elizabeth’s favorite past roles include Sister Amnesia in Nunsense, Domina in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Elizabeth wants to dedicate this summer’s performances to her Mom and Dad…thanks for your continual belief and support!
Reed’s regional credits include Damn Yankees, Little Shop of Horrors, A ChorusLine, Grease, Man of La Mancha, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Singin' inthe Rain, The Apple Tree with Loretta Swit, (Forestburgh Playhouse); SouthPacific, (Media Theatre); Pippin, (Venus Rising); Joseph, (La. ArtsCouncil). Off Broadway: Appelemando's Dreams (Vineyard Theatre), As WeLike It, (Theatorium). Reed also served as a choreographer for the EasterEgg Roll at the White House. Felipe, a recent honors graduate from NYU's Tisch/CAP 21 musical theatre program, is proud to be working at Surflight this summer. Some roles include, Bernardo in West Side Story (Yorktown Stage), Rapunzel's prince in Into the Woods (CAP 21), and the Composer in Le Bourgeois Avante Garde (Tisch Mainstage). He also appeared as a featured dancer in Soup Soap and Salvation at the Rescue Mission/Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke, VA. Thanks to family, friends, and Ken for their continued support.
Jessie’s regional credits include Twelfth Night, Godspell, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Other favorites include The Secret Garden, The Winter’s Tale, Time Again in Oz, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, and The Brothers Karamazov. Jessie has earned a BA in Theatre, Abilene University, MFA in Acting, The University of Texas-Austin. Love and thanks to my friends and family.
Matt is stoked to be a part of the 2003 Surflight Summer. Recent credits include The Fantastiks (Matt), Over Here (Utah), Swan Song (Vasily Vasilich), Oklahome! (Curly, Bye-Bye Birdie (Hugh), and (Billy) Anything Goes and 42nd Street. In the fall Matt will be a junior at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, recently involved with two new musicals in NYC. He was a featured storyteller in Myths and Fables at CAP21 and directed We All Fall Down for Word Theater Company. Shout outs to Alden Harrison, Julie Craig, Lindsay Kerr, and hi s awesome friends and family.
Sarah is thrilled to be performing at Surflight this season. Originally from Oklahoma, Sarah graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in musical theatre. Her favorite roles at OU include: Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Mary Bland in Eating Raoul, and Maggie in A Chorus Line. She has also been seen regionally in roles such as Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Daisy Mae in Li'l Abner, and Phyllis in 42nd Street. Sarah is also excited to be joining the National Tour of Kiss Me Kate this fall. Much love and thanks to Mom, Dad, and husband Michael.
Kevin has appeared of Broadway and National Tour as Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, The King in The King and I, Thomas Andrews in Titanic, Gaylord Ravenal in Showboat, as the star of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Music of the Night, and as The Engineer in Miss Saigon, receiving the Dora Mavor Moore and Dramalogue awards for his performance. He played the title role in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and on the National Tour, receiving the Carbonelle Award for his performance. He has played Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, Valentin in Kiss of the Spider Woman, and appeared in Night of the Iguana, Pacific Overtures, Chu Chem, The Knife, The Death of Garcia Lorca and The Baker's Wife. Film and television appearances include Law & Order, Miami Vice, The Equalizer, Linc's, Ryan's Hope, The Guiding Light, and the feature White Hot. Kevin received the National Institute for Music Theatre Award, and has sung a Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. Recordings include The Complete Miss Saigon, Magdalena, Voices of Broadway, and Songs from the Journey. He comes to Surflight directly from the premiere of Dracula The Covenant, co-written with his wife, Dodie Petit.
Elena is very happy to return for yet another season at Surflight Theatre. She was last seen in the 2000 season as Maggie in Brigadoon, and Kate Murphy in Titanic. Other favorite credits include Street Scene (Mae Jones), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator). Elena has also sang the National Anthem at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. She is a recent graduate of the Boston Conservatory and holds a BFA in Musical Theatre. Elena would like to thank her family and David for all their love and support.
Andrea is very happy to be returning to Surflight, having choreographed Grease, Dames at Sean and Meet Me in St. Louis three seasons ago. Her national tours include the roles of Jan in Grease and BoPeep in Babes in Toyland. She appeared Off-Braodway as Rose in George M!, choreographed by Mercedes Ellington and in Jeffrey, choreographed by Christopher Gatelli. Favorite regional credits include Helen Bishop in It's A Wonderful life, and Mr. Skeffington, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman - both at Papermill Playhouse. New Jersey audiences may also have seen Ms. McCullough at the NNJ Shakespeare Festival, where she played Ursula in Much Ado About Nothing, and Bonnie in Anything Goes for the Milford Performing Arts Center. Andrea played Joan in Dames at Seas, Angelina in Trail by Jury, and Mabel in Pajama Game for stock theatres cross the country. Recent film and television credits include A Mighty Wind, Law and Order and 2 features for PBS' American Playhouse, as well as Great Performances: Tap Dance in America.
Geoffrey last appeared at Surflight in Jesus Christ Superstar, and is very pleased to return to Surflight for its entire 2003 summer season. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Geoffrey currently attends Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA, where he will graduate in December with a BA in Musical Theatre. At Point Park, he appeared in the Ritz Quartet and as a swing in My One and Only. Favorite roles include Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Jonathan In Arsenic and Old Lace, Bobby in Crazy for You, and ensemble roles in The Who's Tommy and West Side Story. Much gratitude and love to family and friends.
Jason is thrilled to be returning to Surflight after performing here two summers ago. Jason has just graduated with a B.F.A. in Music Theatre from New World School of the Arts in Miami where he performed in City of Angels (Stone), Six Characters in Search of an Author (Director), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Bazzard), The Marriage of Figaro (Bazile), the Kitchen (Max) and Cabaret (Bobby). He also completed his senior thesis, entitled The Meaning of Chai, a one-person show that he wrote, directed, and acted in telling the story of a Holocaust survivor reliving his past. Other favorite credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs (Eugene), Oliver! (Artful Dodger), Threepenny Opera (Tiger Brown), and Once Upon a Mattress (King Sextimus). Dodie is an actress, singer, dancer and songwriter. Returning from a National Tour of the Broadway show, Titanic, Ms. Pettit was also an original Broadway cast member of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera completing a six year run of the show, including a two and a half year US National tour as understudy to the role of "Christine Daae". Prior to this, she completed a four year run in CATS on Broadway. Prior to her Broadway career, Dodie was principal dancer with the Garden State Ballet and Princeton Ballet. A BMI songwriter and arranger whose credits include songs on the Billboard Pop and Dance charts, Shel Siverstein's A Light in the Attic and the film, Critters, she has released two albums of her songs featuring the voices of many of Broadway's' best known names. She is married to Broadway performer Kevin Gray, with whom she has written a new musical entitled Dracula...The Covenant, which recently had its premiere at The Stonington Opera House. She thanks Kevin for his undying love and support.
Carolyn is delighted to be returning to Surflight in such an endearing musical romance. Megan has just finished her freshman year as a musical theatre major at Pace University in Manhattan and is thrilled to be a part of the Surflight's summer season. Past credits include: Side by Side by Sondheim (woman 2) and Brigadoon (Jean) at Schaeberle Studios, Oh Boy! (Ava) at the Berkshire Theatre Festival, and How to Suceed... (Smitty), and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Nora) on Long Island. She has trained with the Eglevsky Ballet and the American Theatre Dance Workshop. Gannaro LOVES LIFE! Beyond that...he was born and raised on Long Island, where he grew up working at his family's pizzeria. After graduating with a BFA from SUNY Fredonia's Honors program, he spent a summer sweating in the Gulf of Mexico...as season with Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals. Favorite credits include: Wyatt/Bela Zangler u/s: Crazy for You (national tour), Louis Ironson: Angels in America I & II, Homenides: A Flea in Her Ear and Ozzie: On the Town. Missy is very excited to be making her Surflight Theatre debut this season. Previous credits include Grease (Sandy), Big River (Mary Jane Wilkes), The Who's Tommy (Sally Simpson), Footloose (Wendy Jo), Evita (Peon's Mistress), Anything Goes (Purity), and Hair. She was also involved in the New York staged reading of the new musical Sweet Valley High (Jessica Wakefield). Originally from Pittsburgh, Missy is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She would like to say a special "thank you" to family and friends for their continuous love and support.
Margaret, a Dallas native, is excited to be here! She has appeared on Broadway in the revival of The Sound of Music, in the First National tour of Kiss Me Kate, in which she played the title role many times, and in the recent tour of South Pacific. Other New York City credits include City Center's Encores!, productions of Out of the World, Sweet Adeline and The New Moon, the NPR broadcast of Prairie Home Companion's Salute to the Broadway Chorus and Rob Fisher and the Coffee Club Orchestra's 10th Anniversary concert. Favorite roles include Betty Blake in Will Rogers Follies, Christine in Phantom, Lad Jaquie in Me and My Girl, Antonia in Man of La Mancha, and the Woman (Margaret) in Oh Coward! She has appeared in such diverse settings as Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada, Tokyo and the Republican National Convention and played everything from rednecks to royalty. Margaret is also a country music singer/songwriter and most enjoys her role of wife to actor John Wilkerson and mom to 6-year-old son.
Rebekah, originally from New Jersey, is thrilled to be a part of Surflight's season. She just graduated from The Hartt School (PTTP) the May with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Her favorite roles include Val, A Chorus Line; Dolly, Annie Get Your Gun; Mona (Lipshitz), Chicago; Jenny, The Shape of Things; and Brit in the world premiere of Hot and Sweet. Susan has appeared in The Student Prince and King Island Christmas at Paper Mill Playhouse; Dames At Sea and Cinderella at George Street Playhouse; and in Company, Nine and Merrily We Roll Along at the Forum Theatre in Metuchen. Other regional theatre performances include featured roles in Gypsy, Nunsense, Brigadoon, Into The Woods, Hello Dolly, Annie, Arsenic And Old Lace and Mame. She has appeared with the Seattle and Portland Symphonies, is a frequent guest soloist with the Key West Symphonic Pops and has performed in various cabaret venues in Florida and New York including a recent sold-out engagement at Judy's Chelsea. Her directing credits include HAIR at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown, Pump Boys And Dinettes at Surflight Theatre on Long Beach Island; The Sound Of Music and Bye, Bye, Birdie at Plays-In-The-Park in Edison; A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, The Apple Tree, and Me And My Girl at Villagers' Theatre in Franklin; and Man Of La Mancha, Nunsense, Fiddler On The Roof, A Little Night Music, Little Shop Of Horrors, and annual productions of A Christmas Carol at Chatham Players.
Adam is thrilled to be returning the the Surflight stage for his third consecutive season! Adam is a graduate of Brigham Young University and has performed all over the country. Surflight credits include: Jesus Chris Superstar (Jesus), Mame (Adult Patrick), The Secret Garden (Albert), West Side Story (Action), George M! (Sam Harris), and others. Additional favorite credits include: National Tour of Ragtime the Musical (Houdini), 1940's Radio Hour (Johnny Cantone), Chess (Arbiter), and F. Scott in the reading of the new musical Zelda. Adam is very grateful to his Heavenly Father for his talent, his family for their love, his Beth for his happiness, and to you, the audience, for the life and energy you bring to the theatre. Vince's previous Surflight credits include memorable roles in Babes in Arms and Ten Little Indians in the 2000 season. During the 2001 season, Jekyll and Hyde and A Christmas Carol. In the 2002 season Vince was seen in the Scarlet Pimpernel, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rumors, Mousetrap and Miracle on 34th Street. Before relocating from the Philadelphia's area to LBI as a year-round resident, Vince's theatrical background spanned 30 years of performance in numerous venues of community, regional and dinner theatre. These include Hedgerow Theatre, the media Theatre, Villanova University, Neumann College Saddleback College, Three Little Baker's Dinner Theatre, Candlelight Music Dinner Theatre, The Player Club of Swarthmore, and the Brandiwiners. His film credits include the role of a mental patient in Twelve Monkeys.. And he employed his talent as a hair stylist on the crew of Dead Poets Society. Allan is thrilled to be returning to Surflight for a third season. He was last here in the 2000 Season performing the role of Isidor Straus in Titanic and the Grandfather in Meet Me in St. Louis. In the 1998 Season he was Mr. Maraczek in She Loves Me. Allan has been an actor and director for nearly 40 years. Earlier this summer he directed Me and My Girl at the world famous Longwood Gardens near Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Over the years Allan has performed in numerous productions of Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, Man of La Mancha, Kiss Me Kate, and many others. But his favorite role is Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. This makes his return to Surflight even more joyous. Allan and his wife, Ruth celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary during this production. They reside near Wilmington, Delaware. In a previous incarnation, Allan was a high school mathematics teacher in Philadelphia for 30 years.
Robert was last seen at Surflight last season as Archibald in The Secret Garden and Elton in The Scarlet Pimpernel. Recently he portrayed Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the musical Jekyll and Hyde in Baltimore, and El Gallo in The Fantasticks at Theatre Widener. In addition to the above, favorite roles include the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Freddie Trumper in Chess, Noah in Children of Eden and Cocky in Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd. Robert has created two solo cabaret acts, "From Bedroom To Broadway" and "The Stupid, the Serious, and the Senseless", and is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the entertainment ensemble, Broadway Bound. Jessica Wu hails from Kindersley, a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada. She hold teaching certificates in piano performance, jazz and tap dance, and in 2000 gained her membership to the British Advanced Royal Academy of Dance in ballet - an honor granted to less than a dozen students in North America each year. This fall, Jessica will be entering her senior year in the Vocal Performance Program at the Steinhardt School of New York University, where she was last seen as Edna in the NY premiere of Babes in Arms (directed by Greg Ganakas, choreography by Randy Skinner, with a new book by Joe DiPietro). She is incredibly excited to join Surflight this summer and is very grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Many thanks to all her loving and supportive family, teachers, and friends.
